STARTING PRESCHOOL
At Lindale Preschool we are able to accept children between
the ages of 2-4 years 11 months.
(We can take children as soon as they are two).
STARTING PRIMARY SCHOOL
Children can start in Reception as detailed below:
Child born between: Year of starting school (Reception class)
1 September 2019 and 31 August 2020 September 2024
1 September 2020 and 31 August 2021 September 2025
1 September 2021 and 31 August 2022 September 2026
PRIMARY EDUCATION IN ENGLAND
Primary schools admit children between the ages of 5-11 years of age. (Children can start in Reception class at 4 years of age, but full-time education is not compulsory until a child turns 5 years old). Most primary schools are divided into Infants (Key Stage 1) and Juniors (Key Stage 2).
